Mosquito Control In Memphis, TN, And Surrounding Areas
Keep Mosquitoes Off Your Property With PAWS
Mosquitoes can be a huge problem here in Tennessee, thanks to our warm climate and our wet weather. Our consistent rainfall provides plenty of fertile breeding ground for mosquitoes, which is why keeping them off your property can be such a hassle.
You might get rid of the stagnant water on your property, but chances are, there are plenty of other sources for these pests to breed nearby, sources you can’t control. You might live next to a lake or river. You might live near retention ponds, drainage ditches, or other areas mosquitoes can use to lay their eggs. Once they breed off your property, they’ll fly into your yard to feed on you, and there isn’t a whole lot you can do about it.
This is why professional home mosquito control is vital for your yard. Mosquito experts can succeed where non-professional efforts often fail. So if you can’t seem to keep pesky mosquitoes away from your property, call the experts here at Pest and Wildlife Solvers.

Are mosquitoes dangerous?
Mosquitoes can be extremely dangerous, thanks to the viruses carried by mosquitoes. Here in the United States, we have to worry about viruses like:
- West Nile virus
- Zika virus
- Chikungunya
- Eastern equine encephalitis
- La Crosse encephalitis
Many of these diseases, while rare, have dangerous symptoms that can lead to severe illness, hospitalization, and even death. This is why it’s vital to avoid being bitten by mosquitoes. It’s rare to contract an infection from mosquitoes in the U.S., but it can and does happen, and when it does, it can be serious.

How can I keep mosquitoes away? The best thing you can do to control mosquito numbers on your own is to remove all the places where they can breed on your property. This means getting rid of all standing water. Kiddie pools, birdbaths, and any other receptacle that can hold water should be addressed. If you cannot remove the stagnant water, such as with pet bowls, change it every other day. You can also try planting herbs and flowers that deter mosquitoes, such as lavender, mint, and basil.

What do I do if I get a mosquito infestation?Since mosquitoes are not always deterred by these plants and have plenty of breeding spots not on your property, you may find even these measures fail if not supplemented by professional ones. That means the best thing you can do if even your best mosquito prevention efforts fail is to call the professionals here at Pest and Wildlife Solvers

Our Mosquito Control Process
We get rid of mosquitoes using a multistep process that begins with inspection. We’ll come out to your property and inspect it to find all mosquito breeding sites so we can ensure they're all eliminated. You might have already attempted to complete this step, but many species of mosquitoes can breed in places that might not be immediately obvious, like in potted plants or clogged gutters. We can help you get rid of these sites.
Next, we’ll get to eliminating existing mosquitoes on your property. We use backpack misters to apply mist treatments to kill mosquitoes. These treatments begin to work within 30 minutes and can kill mosquitoes for several weeks. They’re also safe for kids and pets. We’ll apply these treatments to all the landscaping and shrubbery on your property, as well as any other areas our experts determine that mosquitoes are using for shelter or reproduction.
We prefer to apply our treatments on a monthly basis for the entirety of mosquito season (April through November). We can also offer one-time event treatments, so if you don't need the monthly program, but want to eliminate mosquitoes for your big barbecue or birthday party, we can take care of that for you.
