Termite Control In Memphis, TN, And Surrounding Areas
Safeguard Your Home from Termite Infestations Today
Termites are among the most dangerous pests to your property and the most difficult to eradicate, as well. These wood-eating insects can do more damage to your home than just about any other pest, and what's even worse is that they can do it while you're none the wiser. You can be sitting in your house thinking you're living your best pest-free life, while termites are chewing away at your walls and roof. This is why you need professional home pest control.
The main reason you should seek professional termite control before you notice you have an infestation is that doing so can make termite identification quicker and easier. Untrained homeowners are often unprepared to investigate their own potential termite infestations because termites are so good at flying under the radar.
They eat the wood they infest, which means they can avoid putting out signs of their presence until it is too late to avert termite damage. This, in turn, means you often won't notice there's a problem until the infestation is already established and severe. However, trained professionals can spot the signs of termites and conducive conditions much earlier, which can help prevent costly damage to your home.

What are termites?Termites are not considered a threat to humans because they pose no significant health hazards, so in that sense, they are not dangerous. However, termites are extremely dangerous to your property because they consume wood. This can seriously weaken its structural integrity over time and cost thousands of dollars to repair.

How do I know if I have termites?
If you have a termite infestation, some of the signs you might notice include:
- Pinholes in drywall
- Termite sawdust
- Mud tubes around your foundation
- Scratching sounds inside your walls
- Windows and doors that don't open
- Swarms of flying termites, which are reproductive adults
You might also start seeing more significant termite damage, and this is a sign that the infestation has been going on for a long time.

Can I get rid of termites on my own?Termite removal is generally not something that homeowners can accomplish on their own. Termite colonies are vast and complex entities that require specialized techniques and equipment to eradicate. Most of the time, homeowners with store-bought termite control products will accomplish little more than temporarily reducing the numbers of the termite colony, and these numbers will eventually bounce back. This is why professional termite control is the way to go for these pesky pests.

Our Termite Control Process
At Pest and Wildlife Solvers, the first thing we do when we come out to your property is inspect it for signs of existing termite infestation. If you have active termites, our termite experts will often be able to spot them significantly earlier than you would have yourself. When we search for active termites, we look for things that are not readily visible, such as tiny pinholes or termite sawdust. If we see these things, we know you have a problem.
During our inspection, we will also search for conducive conditions that can lead to a termite problem. If our inspection turns up no active infestation, we will speak with you about conditions around your home that could attract a future one and work to preemptively avert termite invasion.
The next step of our process is to eliminate active infestations and prevent new ones. We use a drill-and-trench method to apply our Termidor® products around your home. Termidor® is a liquid termiticide we apply in the soil around your home, as well as voids in walls and any other areas where termites could receive direct exposure.
Once exposed, termites die slowly, giving them time to spread the product to one another throughout the colony. Termidor® is usually 100% effective within three months and only needs annual maintenance.
